Avengers: Age of Ultron is an upcoming American superhero film based on the Marvel Comicso team the Avengers, produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. It is intended to be the sequel to 2012’s Marvel’s The Avengers and the eleventh installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The film is scripted and directed by Joss Whedon and features an ensemble cast that includes Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Samuel L. Jackson, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, and James Spader.

The sequel was announced in May 2012, after the successful release of The Avengers. Whedon, the director of the first film, was brought back on board in August and a release date was set. By April 2013, Whedon had completed a draft of the script, and casting began in June with the re-signing of Downey. Second unit filming began in February 2014 in South Africa with principal photography beginning in March. The film was primarily shot at Shepperton Studios in Surrey, England, with additional footage filmed in Italy, South Korea, and various locations around England.

Avengers: Age of Ultron is scheduled for release on May 1, 2015 in North America, in 2D and IMAX 3D.

With S.H.I.E.L.D. destroyed and the Avengers needing a break from stopping threats, Tony Stark creates Ultron, a self-aware, self-teaching, artificial intelligence, who can assess threats and control Stark’s Iron Legion. However, things quickly go awry when Ultron decides that humans are the main enemy and sets out to eradicate them from Earth.

The co-leader and benefactor of the Avengers, who is a self-described genius, billionaire, playboy, and philanthropist with electromechanical suits of armor of his own invention.
The crown prince of Asgard, based on the Norse mythological deity of the same name.
A genius scientist who, because of exposure to gamma radiation, transforms into a monster when enraged or agitated. Ruffalo worked with motion capture performer Andy SerkisThe Imaginarium Studios in preparation for the role. Ruffalo added, “[My role’s] even bigger than last time, and it’s more complex and it has more layers and a bit more arc. Not only that, but it seems that the motion capture process is becoming a whole lot more agreeable second time around. I’m really tripping on the technology of this motion-capture stuff… now I just completely embrace it and see it as this other exciting place we can go as performers.” Describing the relationship between Banner and Hulk in the film, Ruffalo said, “I think there’s a whole relationship with Banner and Hulk that needs to be discovered. There’s a very cool thing happening: Hulk is as afraid of Banner as Banner is afraid of Hulk.” Ruffalo added, “Both of these guys are obviously the same guy, and they have got to come to peace somehow with each other. And I think that this confrontation is building along the lines of this film.”
The co-leader of the Avengers, who is a World War II veteran enhanced to the peak of human physicality by an experimental serum and frozen in suspended animation before waking up in the modern world. Evans said that he was able to maintain the strength he built up for Captain America: The Winter Soldier by working out up to an hour a day. Evans said, “…you pull the plug about two to three weeks before you wrap. When you see the finish line coming, you are so glad to not have to think about the gym. But we are starting Avengers 2, so over the past month, I have been hitting it pretty hard.”
A highly trained spy, formerly of S.H.I.E.L.D. Producer Kevin Feige stated that more of the character’s backstory is explored in the film. Johansson elaborated, “In Avengers 2 we go back… we definitely learn more about Widow’s backstory, and we get to find out how she became the person you see. All of these characters have deep, dark pasts, and I think that the past catches up to some of us a little bit.” On where the film picks up Widow’s story, Johansson said, “At this stage, when you see the Widow, she’s — especially in Avengers, these characters all have a past, and hers [sic] is a very complex one, where she’s realizing — and it’s kind of a continuation of Cap 2 — ‘I’ve never made an active choice. I’m a product of other people’s imposition.’ That’s going to catch up with her. That’s bound to have a huge effect. There’s got to be a result of that realization… You’ll see her actively making some choices in her life, for better or worse.” A mixture of close-ups, concealing costumes, stunt doubles and visual effects were used to help hide Johansson’s pregnancy during filming.
A master archer who worked as an agent for S.H.I.E.L.D. in previous films. Whedon said that Hawkeye would interact more with the other characters in the film, as opposed to the first film where the character had been “possessed pretty early by a bad guy and had to walk around all scowly.”
The former director of S.H.I.E.L.D. who originally recruited the Avengers. Jackson described the role as a cameo, saying, “I’m just kind of passing by… Because, it’s another one of those ‘people who have powers fighting people who have powers’. That’s why I didn’t get to New York in The Avengers. There’s not a lot I could do except shoot a gun.”
The twin brother of the Scarlet Witch, who can move at superhuman speed. About the character Taylor-Johnson said, “Him [sic] and his sister [Scarlet Witch] have been abandoned by their parents and their father, and they grew up in Eastern Europe defending and looking out for themselves and each other… His sister really is his guidance – emotionally she’s the one who looks after him, and vice versa. He’s very overprotective physically – he doesn’t want anyone touching her.” Taylor-Johnson also said that Quicksilver has “real anger frustration” and is easily bored due to a short attention span. Feige stated exploring Quicksilver’s relationship with his sister and his backstory growing up in Eastern Europe would help differentiate the character from Evan Peters‘ version in X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014).
The twin sister of Quicksilver, who can harness magic and engage in hypnosis and telekinesis. Olsen said, “The reason she’s so special is because she has such a vast amount of knowledge that she’s unable to learn how to control it. No one taught her how to control it properly. So it gets the best of her. It’s not that she’s mentally insane, it’s just that she’s just overly stimulated. And she can connect to this world and parallel worlds at the same time, and parallel times.” Olsen drew on her relationship with her older brother and her twin sisters to prepare for the role.
An artificial intelligence programmed with elements of Tony Stark’s personality, who is overwhelmed with a god complex and longs to bring peace to Earth by eradicating humanity. Director Joss Whedon stated that Spader was his “first and only choice” for the role, because of his “hypnotic voice that can be eerily calm and compelling” while also being very human and humorous. Feige clarified, “We’ll be capturing his face and his body to create a whole performance… We did not hire James Spader to do a robot voice.” Extensive scans were taken of Spader’s head and body in preparation for the role. About the character Whedon said, “He’s always trying to destroy the Avengers, goddamn it, he’s got a bee in his bonnet. He’s not a happy guy, which means he’s an interesting guy. He’s got pain. And the way that manifests is not going to be standard robot stuff.” Whedon added that Ultron is “not a creature of logic – he’s a robot who’s genuinely disturbed. We’re finding out what makes him menacing and at the same time endearing and funny and strange and unexpected, and everything a robot never is.” Whedon also indicated that some of Ultron’s abilities from the comics would be stripped.

Additionally, Cobie Smulders, Don Cheadle, Hayley Atwell, Thomas Kretschmann, and Josh Brolin reprise their roles from previous MCU films as Maria Hill, Col. James “Rhodey” Rhodes, Peggy Carter, Baron Wolfgang von Strucker, and Thanos, respectively. Paul Bettany, who voiced J.A.R.V.I.S. in previous films, plays the Vision, and Claudia Kim was cast as a doctor/scientist and friend of Tony Stark. Andy Serkis is playing an undisclosed role in the film. Avengers co-creator Stan Lee will make a cameo appearance.

Having this viral site http://www.trask-industries.com for the upcoming movie is a brilliant move by the people behind the X-Men franchise. At least there’s a filler for the void while waiting for the movie to be shown on May of 2014. They should have at least put more promotional gimmickry out there and to post more posters in the succeeding months for the people anticipating the movie such as myself so as not to lose the interests but rather build it up until the movie is released. I must say that it’s a great site because the people are being introduced to the Sentinels and what Trask Industry’s involvement on it. Great job incorporating the little snippet of  Trask Industry at the mid credit scene on the movie “The Wolverine”.  I am very much excited for this upcoming movie…

About the film:

X-Men: Days of Future Past is an upcoming American superhero film co-written, produced and directed by Bryan Singer and featuring the X-Men characters appearing in Marvel Comics. It is intended to be the seventh installment in the X-Men film series. The screenplay is written by Simon Kinberg, Matthew Vaughn, and Jane Goldman, with Singer writing the story. The film is based on the 1981 Uncanny X-Men storyline “Days of Future Past” by Chris Claremont and John Byrne. It is the third X-Men film directed by Singer after 2000’s X-Men and 2003’s X2.

Days of Future Past acts as a sequel to both 2011’s X-Men: First Class and 2006’s X-Men: The Last Stand

xmenfirstclassbg x_men_three_ver1

Featuring cast members from both movies and stars Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Halle Berry, Anna Paquin, Shawn Ashmore, Ellen Page, and Daniel Cudmore return from the X-Men: The Last Stand, while James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult and Lucas Till return from X-Men: First Class. Peter Dinklage, Omar Sy, Booboo Stewart, Fan Bingbing, Adan Canto, Evan Peters and Josh Helman round out the film’s principal cast. Principal photography began in April 2013 in Montreal, Canada. The film is being shot in 3D.

New Mutants in the film:

X-Men: Days of Future Past is scheduled to be released on May 23, 2014.

Based from the comic book with the same title, “Days of Future Past” is a popular storyline in the Marvel Comics comic book The Uncanny X-Men issues #141 and #142, published in 1981. It deals with a dystopian alternative future in which mutants are incarcerated in internment camps. An adult Kate Pryde transfers her mind into her younger self, the present-day Kitty Pryde, who brings the X-Men to prevent a fatal moment in history which triggers anti-mutant hysteria.

The storyline was very popular at the time and was produced during the franchise‘s rapid rise to popularity due to the writer/artist team of Chris Claremont, John Byrne and Terry Austin. As a result of the storyline’s popularity, the dark future seen in the story has been revisited numerous times. The first issue of this storyline was voted the 25th greatest Marvel Comic of all time by fans in 2001.

But in this adaptation, it’s not Kitty Pryde who went back to the past but Wolverine… probably just to fix the timeline since Kitty Pryde is not born yet then at that time. So it’s more realistic to put Wolverine in that scenario since he hasn’t aged rapidly.

This reality in which the story occurs is designated Earth-811 in the Marvel Multiverse.

The storyline alternates between present day, in which the X-Men fight Mystique’s Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, and a future timeline caused by the X-Men’s failure to prevent the Brotherhood from assassinating Senator Robert Kelly. In this future universe, Sentinels rule the United States, and mutants live in internment camps. The present-day X-Men are forewarned of the possible future by a future version of their teammate Kitty Pryde, whose mind traveled back in time and possessed her younger self to warn the X-Men. She succeeds in her mission and returns to the future, but despite her success, the future timeline still exists as an alternative timeline rather than as the actual future. (The Official Handbook to the Marvel Universe: Alternate Universes 2005 gave the numerical designation of “Days of Future Past” Earth as Earth-811).

Rachel Summers, who was a key player in the original storyline, traveled through time from this alternative future, Earth-811, to the present day and joined the X-Men. Nimrod, the “ultimate Sentinel,” followed her to the present and became a foe of the X-Men and the Hellfire Club. Another supervillain, Ahab, later followed her to the present in the Days of Future Present crossover.

Another movie to anticipate… Guardians of Galaxy… Well I haven’t read any comic books of this superhero group, but from the looks of it, I think it’s exciting. From the casting itself, it’s looks promising. Hoping that it wouldn’t deviate from the source material because if not then I guess it spells doom… but to adapt it into a movie it’s inevitable that there might be deviations of some sort, all they need to do is just minimize it and it will still be true and honest.

Endless Love is an upcoming American romantic drama film directed by Shana Feste and co-written with Joshua Safran. The film is the remake of the 1981 film of same name.

Endless Love 2014

It stars Alex Pettyfer, Gabriella Wilde, Robert Patrick, Bruce Greenwood, Joely Richardson, Emma Rigby, Dayo Okeniyi and Anna Enger. The film is set to be released on February 14, 2014.

It is supposed to be a remake of the 1981 film of the same title (Plot below) but based on the trailer, it looks like a modern day remake of “The Notebook” instead. Poor boy met rich girl and they fell in love… dad disapproves and all hell breaks loose for the poor guy. But that is based only on the trailer alone. Let’s just wait for another trailer to be released.

In suburban Chicago, teenagers Jade Butterfield and David Axelrod fall in love after they are introduced by Jade’s brother Keith. Jade’s family is known in their community for a bohemian lifestyle, allowing them to develop an all-consuming and passionate relationship; including allowing the two to make love in Jade’s bedroom. In contrast to the openness of her family, David’s home life is dull; his parents are wealthy political activists who are not actively involved in his life.

One night Jade’s mother Ann sneaks downstairs, and upon seeing Jade and David make love in her living room, starts living through them vicariously. Jade’s father, Hugh, watches the couple with increasing unease. Soon Jade realizes her regular sexual encounters with David are depriving her of sleep and adversely affecting her grades at school. Eventually, she tries to steal a sleeping pill in order to get some sleep, but her father catches her in the act. Subsequently, he insists David stop seeing Jade until the end of the school term in 30 days. Although David is heavily opposed to this idea, Ann gently coaxes him into agreeing, telling him not to let Hugh “do something he’ll regret.”

EndlessLove20148 EndlessLove20149

One of David’s friends jokingly suggests kidnapping Jade to get her back or burning down the Butterfield house in revenge. Another friend Billy, then tells David that when he was 8-years-old he tried burning a pile of newspapers and after he became scared, put the fire out, only to find his parents think he was a hero for saving the house from burning. Inspired by this story, David starts a fire on the Butterfields’ front porch and walks away briefly to be seen returning to the flame. By the time he returns, the flame has spread too far and he rushes to warn the family but he is too late, the entire house is lost.

EndlessLove2014B EndlessLove2014C

Following the trial for arson, David is sent to a mental hospital for the next two years and is forbidden from ever going near Jade or her family again. Nevertheless, he continues to write daily, but his letters are held and never mailed. He receives them upon his exit, learning for the first time why Jade never wrote back, thus renewing his spark to pursue her.

When David is released on probation, he goes to look for Jade and remains in love with her. In the meantime, following the loss of their home, the Butterfield family has moved from Chicago to Manhattan, and Ann and Hugh divorce. In Manhattan, Ann tries to seduce David, but he refuses and tells her he can make love only with Jade. In a chance meeting, Hugh sees David on the streets of Manhattan and while chasing David, Hugh is hit by a car and killed. Hugh’s new girlfriend Ingrid Orchester, catches up to the scene and cannot put together what just happened, but later recognizes David as having been present at the accident.

Later, Jade goes to see David to say goodbye but he pulls her back as she tries to leave, throwing her on the bed and begging for her to admit she still loves him. Jade does, and resumes her relationship with him. When Keith tells the couple to come downstairs, he tells Jade that David is at fault for their father’s death. Jade refuses to believe this and turns to David for the truth. He tries to explain it was an accident, but Keith fights with David until the police arrive and arrest David.

Sent to prison, David seems doomed never to see Jade again. Jade tells her mother that no one will ever love her the way David does. The final scene shows Jade walking toward the prison where David is being held.
